The Regional Church of God of Delbarton, West Virginia will present, “Bow the Knee,” an Easter passion play Friday, April 15th through Sunday, April 17th at the Williamson Field House.
As noted on regionalchurch.org, Bow the Knee is the dramatic story of the death and resurrection of Jesus as seen through the eyes of Anthony, a Roman Centurion ordered to carry out his crucifixion. You will feel Anthony's struggle as he tries to make sense of who Jesus is and what that means for him personally. It is the question we all have to answer for ourselves. From the moment it all begins you will find yourself in the middle of the greatest story ever told.
According to Eric Bias of Regional Church, this production features over 75 cast members, not counting the production crew. He says they have been preparing for this performance since February.
Eric explains, “We did this passion play for the first time twenty years ago and this is our fifth time since then. We have such a heart for this area, we decided to bring it to a larger venue to spread the message of hope to our region. Our prayer is that people will experience the love of the Savior through His sacrifice of His life and glorious resurrection!”
Admission for Bow the Knee is free and everyone is welcome to attend. The play begins at 7:00pm on Friday and Saturday night and the final showing will be at 2:00pm on Easter Sunday.
