While students are heading back to school, there are still a variety of community events celebrating the last of summer. The Delbarton Homecoming is one upcoming event that will brighten the day of anyone attending.
Plenty of Community Celebration
The Homecoming will kick off on Thursday, September 1, with the Kiwanis Kids Fishing Tournament at 6pm. Even more activities and events will occur on Friday, including a variety of craft and food vendors, a parade, and a community talent show. The day will conclude with a Community Block Party at 8:30pm, and fireworks at approximately 10 pm.
Things will not be slowing down on Saturday, with even more on the books, such as the Cat Show, the Shriner's Auction, and runs for kids and adults, as well as clogging and bluegrass performances in the afternoon. Another Block Party will finish off the day at 9 pm.
On Sunday, the final day of the Homecoming celebration, the festivities will conclude with a church service at the Opry House beginning at 11am, followed by a 7pm community feast accompanied by a gospel sing.
