The Tug Valley Chamber of Commerce is hosting an outdoor vendor market on Saturday, August 14th from 4:00pm-8:00pm in downtown Williamson.
The Sunset Market will be on the corner of Pike Street and 2nd Avenue in the Williamson Health and Wellness Center parking lot.
The market will feature local artisans, direct sales vendors, and informational booths.
“We have fifteen vendors signed up for the market. They will be offering a wide variety of items at their booths. Some of the items you’ll find are art, handcrafted jewelry, woodworking, fresh baked specialty goods, local honey, syrup, and salsa, boutique clothing, Bison coolers and insulated cups, and lots more,” says Tug Valley Chamber of Commerce President, Chris Dotson.
Local vendor markets such as the Sunset Market are a great way to allow local artisans, and small business owners that do not have an actual storefront to showcase their products and earn some cash. Over the past months, many vendor events have been cancelled due to COVID-19, which left those relying on vendor events without an outlet to sell their products.
Tug Valley Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Randall Sanger says, “We hope people attend the Sunset Market to support small, local businesses and artisans. Many of these folks do not have a storefront, and this is an important event for them to showcase their talents and offerings. And remember, Buy Local or Bye Local.”
