Calling all produce-lovers and local business-shoppers: The Williamson Farmers Market will be opening for the 2022 Season on Saturday, June 4th from 9am-2pm. Not only that, this season will mark the 10-year anniversary of the market, and organizers will be celebrating with a summer full of special events.
Opening Day Events
Opening Day will be especially jam-packed with fun activities and events, in addition to the fresh produce, local crafts, and familiar faces shoppers go to the market for. One such event will be the now-classic Music at the Market, when local musicians gather as a kind of pop-up concert for shoppers. Live acoustic music begins at 11am on opening day. Triple C’s Coffee truck will be open at the market at 9am. Also, the Wildwood Garden Club will offer a planting demonstration at 10 am.
B-I-N-G-O!
In addition to great music, the Williamson Farmers Market will also be hosting a Bingo Night after the market itself is done, at 6pm. This event will offer folks in the area a fun and relaxing evening, as well as make a fundraising push for the Market. Prizes include a 216-can capacity Coleman Cooler donated by Ferrell & Brown PLLC, a local foods basket valued at $100 donated by Southern Mercantile, a $100 front porch swing, Lifetime Muskie Angler sit on top kayak valued at $400, Blackstone tabletop grill valued at $225, and more! During Bingo, Belfry Pee Wee Cheer will be selling concessions.
This summer is sure to be a good one for the Williamson Farmers Market, with plenty of good food, friends made, and fun events and activities for the community. To keep up with the market, check out the Williamson Farmers Market Facebook page!
