Williamson Wildwood Garden Club Flower Show

Wildwood Garden Club, a member of the larger West Virginia Garden Club Inc. and National Garden Clubs Inc., has been dedicated for years to their goal to make and keep Williamson beautiful. The 10+ gardens maintained throughout town, as well as the storefront baskets and the Coal House and Mingo County  Courthouse lawns, are a major part of this goal, but that’s not all the club has to offer!

This summer, Wildwood Garden Club is collaborating with the Williamson Farmers Market for their Annual Flower Show, which will be hosted at the Williamson Farmers Market location on 3rd Avenue in downtown Williamson.

Gardeners in the competition will compete for a variety of prizes in type-specific categories: lilies, roses, perennials, hydrangeas, exotics/succulents, and container. To participate, a local gardener need only bring a single fresh bloom from their garden from the past 3 months. Competition officials will provide small vases for judging purposes. Participants can register in the competition at the event, or beforehand, by obtaining paperwork from a member of the club.

The Flower Show will be Saturday June 10 at 10:30 am. To learn more about this event, check out their Facebook event page!
