#Y’allternativeArtSpot
Everyone knows that the Southern Coalfields are full of beautiful nature, miles of trails and rivers to enjoy, and an abundance of history. These are all important parts of what make this region what it is, and they deserve plenty of attention. However, sometimes other parts of our culture go overlooked. Case in point: this region is full of amazingly talented artists and creatives!
Many folks throughout Williamson and the adjoining counties and towns work hard to bring attention to our artists and now we can add one more arts-focused Williamson space to the list: Y’allternative Art Spot located at 31 3rd Avenue in downtown Williamson. This new art gallery is organized and under the direction of The HeART of West Virginia, a 501 (c)3 non-profit arts organization based in Williamson.
Y’allternative is a self-proclaimed “different kind of gallery” that will offer space to a variety of local creatives, including painters, photographers, and more from throughout the area. They will celebrate their grand opening on Friday, November 17th at 7pm!
The grand opening will also include music by Alan Riffle and a pop-up from the Au Lait Coffee Co. Stop by and enjoy some great art!
