Young Entrepreneurs Day 2023: Meet Adalynn Chafin

Adalynn Chafin

Since 2020, the Tug Valley Chamber of Commerce has hosted Young Entrepreneurs Day, an event that puts under-18 business owners in the area at the forefront and offers them new opportunities. Many kids and teens have participated in that time, and thanks to the success they helped to make possible, the Chamber of Commerce is happy to be hosting the 4th Annual Young Entrepreneurs Day on Saturday, August 5th from 10am-3pm in the Williamson Field House.

Young Entrepreneurs Day puts the spotlight on all kinds of small business owners aged 8-18, from young foodies to artists. This year’s YED will feature newcomers as well as familiar faces. One such newcomer will be Adalynn Chafin, who will be bringing her business, Addy’s Crafts and Tumblers, to YED.

Adalynn is a 9-year old student at Belfry Elementary, and she offers glass tumblers and sublimation tumblers through her business. She has been helping her mom with crafts for a while now, and that’s where she got the idea for this business. She enjoys selecting designs for the tumblers, describing it as her favorite part of business.

She first heard about Young Entrepreneurs Day via Facebook, and thought it would be a good opportunity. She is looking forward to sharing her many designs for the cups and tumblers with her community.

If you’d like to add to your cup collection, Addy’s Crafts and Tumblers is sure to be the place to be! Be sure to check out the Young Entrepreneurs Day Facebook page and mark August 5 on your calendar.
